Black Myth: Wukong Crash Fixes — Common Errors & Solutions

Use a clean install (DDU if needed) of the latest NVIDIA/AMD/Intel driver. Outdated or corrupt drivers are the #1 cause of launch and in-game crashes.

Steam/Epic/Game Pass all have a "Verify integrity" option. Corrupted or partially-downloaded files cause random exits and "missing DLL" errors.

Delete the game’s shader cache (and %LOCALAPPDATA% shader folders). A corrupt cache causes stutter-then-crash, especially after a driver change.

Advanced users can set UE5 CVars via a startup config for sharper upscaling, but incorrect values can crash the game. Revert to defaults if you edited any .ini.

Uninstall, delete leftover folders in %LOCALAPPDATA% and the install dir, then reinstall to an SSD. This fixes stubborn, file-lock-related crashes.

Use HWInfo to watch CPU/GPU temps. Thermal throttling or an underpowered PSU causes hard crashes under load that look like software bugs.
